From news stories I've seen, that was a very successful promotion for GM in
general.

I thought it was Scania that made the trucks !

Btw - I recently noted that that you can now buy *Saab Scania* badges
for your GM Saab model. E.g.

I was just pulling your leg ! I guessed as much. I just hadn't heard it called a *truck*
before ! How long an actual sales period does that represent for the 9-7X as opposed to an
accounting year ?

316 vehicles in one year barely makes the effort worth it. Indeed I'm sure it's economic
suicide.

In the meantime there is no Saab hatchback that would appeal to me, yet Saab essentially had
the executive hatch market to itself a while back.

The 316 9-7x's are for June '05 sales in the USA. Assume the other
months's of the '05 were 150 and we get 316 + (5 * 150) = 316 + 750 = 1,066.

Ok - I got it now. Must have been tired last night.

The earlier model years of the 9-5 has that badge. I think it was
changed in 2002.

Curious since Saab was no longer Saab Scania by that time.

2000 in the US was the first appearance of the redesigned logo (without
"Scania").

A quick check on the web:

14 August 2000 was the official changeover date.
Just looked in my garage, a Jan 2000 model still has the old logo
